She who dwells in the lotus, lotus-eyed, daughter of the lotus, bestower of good. She who resides in Padma-loka, holds lotus in her hands, wears white garments, and grants auspiciousness.

Seated on a lotus, Kamala has eyes like lotus petals, hair fragrant with lotus, and emerged from the lotus womb — she is Sharvani (consort of Shiva).
